Shakespeare in the Park

Shakespeare in the Park is a perception which is used as a type of free public presentation of the works of William Shakespeare across the world. These performances are held in the United Kingdom , Australia , United States of America and Canada .

The idea of the productions of summer Shakespearean is extensive, however many of the performances were held at the Delacorte Theatre which is situated in the central park of New York comprise the meaning of the ‘Shakespeare in the Park’ expression.

In 1962, Shakespeare in the Park was shown at the Central Park of the Delacorte Theatre by the Public Theatre. About 80,000 viewers in the New York watched this performance each summer without charging any cost. About 80 free creations have been offered and have been watched by more than four million people.

The most famous actors who have started their career by performing in Shakespeare in the Park are Marcia Gay Harden, Christopher Walken, Patrick Stewart, Morgan Freeman, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Billy Crudup, Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline and many more designers and directors.

Shakespeare in the Park became very popular and got successful as soon as it is released in the theatres.
