Complete Works of Shakespeare
Complete works of Shakespeare is the typical name specified to any volume which contains all the poems and plays of the famous poet William Shakespeare. Some of the versions of the works of Shakespeare consist of ‘The Two Noble Kinsmen’ a partnership with John Fletcher.
It is considered to be one of the two books which were offered to the visitors on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs. The other book was known as the Bible. In 2006-2007 sessions, the Royal Shakespeare Company is dedicated to the presentation of the Complete Works. The complete works of Shakespeare was recorded in the Guinness World Record in the year 1987 by Adrian Hilton.

Romeo and Juliet

Othello
The Moor of Venice is one of the famous tragedies written by William Shakespeare in 1603. The performance of this famous play was held at Whitehall Palace in London on 1 st November, 1604 .
Julius Caesar
This tragedy was written in the year 1599 by William Shakespeare. This play was based on the exact events from the history. It describes the plot against the Julius Caesar who was the Roman dictator and its consequences.
He has also written other tragedies like Macbeth, Antony and Cleopatra, Timon of Athens, Hamlet and Troilus and Cressida.
Comedies
The Merchant of Venice
It is one of the best known comedies which are written by William Shakespeare in the year 1594 and 1597. This comedy is popular for its description of the Jew Shylock who has lifts up the queries of anti-semitism.
The Tempest
This comedy was the last play written by William Shakespeare. It was performed at the Blackfriars and Globe Theatres.
The Two Noble Kinsmen
This play was written by William Shakespeare along with John Fletcher. This play was not incorporated in the first folio of works of Shakespeare in 1623.
Poems and Sonnets
The Passionate Pilgrim
It is a group of poems which was first printed in 1599. Out of 20 poems, only 5 poems were recognized as the poems of Shakespeare and are known as sonnets. The numbers were given as 144 and 138 to Sonnets and 5, 3 and 16 to poems.
The Phoenix and the Turtle
It is a symbolic poem which is written by William Shakespeare describing about the death of perfect love and was published in the year 1601.
A Lover’s Complaint
It is a narrative poem which contains about 49, seven line stanzas and was written in the rhyme royal form.
Other complete works of William Shakespeare include histories such as King John, Henry V, Henry VIII, Richard II etc and apocrypha and lost plays such as The Second Maiden’s Tragedy, Arden of Faversham, The London Prodigal, Love’s Labour’s Won and Edmund Ironside.
